Boil Water Advisory for the Entire Sallal Water System

As part of routine water testing, the Sallal Water Association has detected the presence of fecal coliform bacteria, or E. coli, present in some water samples. Based on follow-up testing, they have issued a boil advisory for the entire Sallal Water system. Sallal provides water to approximately 1,700 customers in the Snoqualmie Valley area.

Bring all water to a full boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using.  Alternatively, you can use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.  It is acceptable to use water for bathing, showering, and washing clothing. Bottled water donated from the Snoqualmie Tribe is available at the Sallal office, or Sallal can deliver upon request.
