Tribal Council Letter Regarding Novel Coronavirus Response

The Snoqualmie Tribal Council has released the following letter to Tribal Members regarding their response to the novel coronavirus. You can read the full letter in PDF format at the link below. Hard copies of this letter are being mailed to all Tribal Members.

To summarize the letter:

  • On March 11, 2020 Tribal Council passed a resolution declaring a Tribal State of Emergency
  • Tribal Council has approved the release of both April and May General Welfare Consolidated Assistance benefits on Monday, March 16, 2020 as a combined check or deposit. Checks will be mailed or direct deposited, no pick up will be available. The next time you recieve this benefit will be May 20, 2020.
  • As of Monday, March 16, 2020 the Tribal Administration offices will be closed to the public until April 24, 2020. Limited staff will be onsite with the remaining staff working remotely during standard business hours Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
  • During this time we are requesting that all Tribal Members send requests through email or fax. Mail will be checked periodically during the week but will be slower. During this time period we will accept scanned copies of receipts.
